Adaption of Azolla in each month with respect to climate change:


1. In Month of October:

We had started growing Azolla in the month of October, which is a very pleasant weather to grow Azolla. In this month the growth of Azolla was excellent and it was growing rapidly. Azolla were healthy and green in colour. The average Maximum temperature for the month of October was around 32.48 degree C and average minimum temperature was around 21 degree C which is suitable for the proper growth of Azolla.

2. In Month of November:

Maximum average temperature for the month of November was around 27 degree C and average minimum temperature was almost 15 degree C. This is also suitable for the growth of Azolla. Azolla were still green in colour and the growth rate was also good. A little reddish brown colour was observed in few Azolla, this may be due to some high temperature.

3. In Month of December:

Average maximum temperature for the month of December was 22 degree C and average minimum temperature was 10 degree C. Due to some fall in temperature Azolla were observed more brown and it started dying. Growth rate of Azolla was reduced and the browning increased significantly due to critical fall in temperature at night.

4. In Month of January:

Average maximum temperature for the month of January is 19 degree C and average minimum temperature was 10 degree C. Due to fall in temperature. Azolla turned more brown and reddish in colour. Temperature in the night may fall up to 0 degree which is not suitable for the survival of Azolla. The growth rate is almost stopped and it became browner in colour.

5. In Month of February:

Average maximum temperature for the month of February was 24 degree C and average minimum temperature was 80C. Same as January temperature in nights may fall up to 0 degree which is not suitable for the survival of Azolla. Most of the Azolla died but some of it was successful to survive. It was mostly brown in colour and growth rate was very poor.

6. In Month of March:

Average high temperature for the month of March is 27 degree C and average minimum temperature was 12 degree C. As the temperature get a little warm Azolla again started to grow rapidly. It turned green in colour, browning is reduced and was growing healthy.
