IIT Mandi
While women in STEM possess strong technical capabilities, they often receive limited exposure to structured leadership
development. Many talented women hesitate to step into leadership roles due to systemic barriers,
lack of mentorship, work-life balance challenges and insufficient confidence-building opportunities.
This workshop is a small effort to support and encourage early-career women by nurturing
leadership mindsets, sharing tools, experiences, and strategies that can help them grow as leaders. It
will also provide a space to connect, learn from one another, and feel supported. The initiative aims
to empower next-generation women leaders to navigate challenges, make informed career choices,
and contribute meaningfully to institutional growth. Empowering women leaders is important not
only for individual growth, but also for building stronger and more inclusive academic and research
communities.
