4th workshop conducted by AADL on September 01, 2013. In this workshop, both the students of Shoolini University, Solan and fresher’s of IIT Mandi participated. This had the same structure as of the first workshop despite that the workshop had some more advanced topics such as JSON, XML and Ideology for app development. This workshop was a successfully done as many of the students understood the basic concept of Android Development and were very keen to develop the app for Aakash.
3rd workshop conducted by AADL on August 20, 2013, to introduce the youngest member of IIT Mandi, i.e. Fresher’s, to the Aakash project. They were shown Aakash tablet and were told a little bit about android development.
Workshop for outsiders by AADL was conducted on May 05, 2013. About 60 students from JNGEC Sunder Nagar participated in this workshop. We had 2 sessions of the workshop. In the first session the students of JNGEC were given a beginners workshop on android development. In this session, students made their first ever mini - Android app. The second session “Hands on Aakash”, was conducted to give the students first hands on experience on Aakash tablet.
1st workshop conducted by AADL on August 06, 2012, to introduce Students of IIT Mandi, to the Aakash project. This Workshop covered various aspects of app development, such as Java programming, XML designs and basic designing of an app.
